Keyboard Backlight Not Responding to Brightness Control Keys

 

Possible Causes:

• Corrupted drivers.
• Function key settings disabled.

Solutions:

1. Ensure Function Keys Are Enabled:

   • Check if the Fn Lock key is activated (sometimes combined with the Esc key).
   • Disable Fn Lock by pressing Fn + Esc (or the relevant key on your model).

2. Reinstall Keyboard Driver:

   • Go to Device Manager > Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Uninstall Device.
   • Restart your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

3. Update ASUS Keyboard Hotkeys App:

   • Download the ASUS Keyboard Hotkeys utility from the ASUS support website.
   • Install it and restart the system.
