Enabling BitLocker for Data Encryption

 

 

1. Check for BitLocker Compatibility:

   • Ensure your Windows edition supports BitLocker (only available on Pro, Enterprise, and Education).

2. Enable BitLocker:

   • Go to Control Panel > System and Security > BitLocker Drive Encryption.
   • Click Turn on BitLocker next to the desired drive and follow prompts to choose a password and backup your recovery key.

3. Encrypt Your Drive:

   • Choose Encrypt entire drive for maximum security, and complete the setup.
