iPhone Not Recognized by Computer

Solution:

  1. Check the USB Cable:

    • Use an Apple-certified cable and check for any damage. Try a different USB port or cable if possible.
  2. Trust This Computer:

    • When you connect the iPhone, a prompt may appear asking you to Trust This Computer. Select Trust to allow access.
  3. Restart the iPhone and Computer:

    • Restart both devices to refresh the connection.
  4. Update iTunes and iOS:

    • Ensure that both iTunes and the iPhone are updated to the latest versions. Go to Settings > General > Software Update on iPhone and check for iTunes updates on your computer.
  5. Check USB Accessories Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode on older models) and ensure USB Accessories is enabled to allow the connection.
